The study does not mention the <a class=\"dwl-gl\" href=\"\/en\/governance-glossary\/#dwg-eu-ai-act\">EU AI Act<\/a> at all \u2014 the link to Article 4 is our own reading.<\/p>\n  <\/div><\/section>\n\n  <section class=\"dwl-sec\"><div class=\"dwl-wrap\"><div class=\"dwl-split\"><div>\n    <h2>Why train?<\/h2>\n    <p>Article 4 of the <a class=\"dwl-gl\" href=\"\/en\/governance-glossary\/#dwg-eu-ai-act\">AI Act<\/a> originally required companies to ensure <a class=\"dwl-gl\" href=\"\/en\/governance-glossary\/#dwg-ki-kompetenz\">AI literacy<\/a> among their staff. The Digital Omnibus softened that in July 2026 to \u201csupport and promote\u201d. Training today is therefore no longer something a regulation forces on you. You do it because untrained use can get expensive.<\/p>\n    <p>Confidential material ends up in other people's systems. Results are passed on unchecked. Two departments build the same solution twice, while a third quietly uses a tool nobody knows about. And when something goes wrong, there is no way to show afterwards that staff even knew what was allowed.<\/p>\n    <p>Training is therefore not a box to tick.
